High School Experience
My high school experience was kinda hard as I went to a “college-prep” school. However I think being surrounded with like-minded ambitious individuals cultivated a really enriching experience and led to important discussions/conversations I wouldn’t have had at another school.
I loved life science like environmental science and biology and also psychology, so I emphasized those kinds of courses.

Cross country for last 3 years, volunteering at my local food bank, started volunteering club with friends I was treasurer.
Relationships were great, we weren’t like super best friends but teachers that liked me I'm classes I did well in.
Theme was mostly my upbringing regarding being a child of immigrants and dealing with that in America.
I honestly think my essays and ways of telling my story made me stand out, like not being bitter about the struggles I’ve had but rather embracing them.
Honestly don’t limit yourself. I never thought I’d get into UPenn but decided to apply anyways. Work hard, literally always, but also work smart. Don’t compare yourself to people that seem to be doing “better” do the best you can and your passion/ambition will shine through.

I love Philadelphia; I also just really like the vibes of the school like work hard play hard.
