High School Experience
I liked my high school because it was separate from the other schools in my district but i didn’t like how small it was. I wish I could've met more people.
Course choices
I always liked health and chemistry and math so I am planning on majoring in chem engineering.
AP/IBs
I did IB and my HLs were math chem physics and geography. We didn’t take the exams,
GPA
4.35 weighted
Standardized Testing
ACT: 34
SAT Chemistry: 800
SAT Math 2: 740
Extracurriculars
I was varsity and a captain for my cross country and tennis teams. I was first cello in our orchestra and played in a quartet. I was also the president of a club called HOSA which is a medical competition club.
Recommendations
We had a mutual respect for each other but I never really had a close or comfortable relationship with a teacher. That is another thing I wish I had in high school.
Essays
I mostly wrote about staying level headed and being confident.
Strengths
I think it could be my grades in school but mostly my essays. I am not sure really.
Advice
I would tell them to pursue ECs that you actually enjoy and want to spend your time doing. I would also try to read more because that is how I think I have gained a lot of life lessons that could perhaps make me a stronger applicant.
Circumstances
None.
Why?
It was not, but nonetheless, it is a great school in general and especially for my major. I also can’t stand the cold weather so LA seemed like a very good choice for me.
