High School Experience
I liked that I was able to easily join a lot of clubs. I didn’t like that I didn’t have a lot of freedom making my schedule.

I was interested in volunteer work with the National Charity League. I was also involved in the Green Team Club, California Scholarship Federation, Debate Club, and Girls Who Code at my high school. I played soccer and lacrosse for the school as well.

One of my teachers was my soccer coach and the other overlooked a research opportunity. I also TA’d for both of them.
Essays
I wrote about extracurricular I participated in and how they shaped my interest in science and developed me as a person.
Strengths
I think I had a lot of diverse extracurriculars and leadership experience.
Advice
Try new things and don’t be afraid to put yourself out there. Pursue activities that reflect your interests to show colleges you are motivated.

Why?
It’s close to home and has great academics. I also like how the student body is known for being very motivated for change (student protests and etc). It is also located in the Bay Area, which is a cool area with a lot of job opportunities.
